On 6 March, the UK-Ukraine TechBridge, in partnership with Jacobs and The Bakery, hosted its inaugural Start-up Competition. The event spotlighted six Ukrainian-linked tech start-ups: Beholder, Mantis Analytics, Eyre, Parostock, S.Lab, and Carbominer, selected from over 300 applicants. Each pitched to a panel of industry experts including Anton Volovyk (Reface), Sue Daley OBE, Francesca Arese Lucini PhD, and Paul Hammond (Jacobs) and a full audience of businesses and investors.
The winners were S.Lab, who were voted for by a panel of judges, and recognised for their sustainable solution and Beholder who were voted for through public vote. Congratulations to both winners.
TechBridge has once again proven the immense potential of collaboration… We aim to scale these successes while setting a global example of resilience and cooperation.” – Graham Zebedee, Director for Science and Technology, Department for Business and Trade
The competition showcased the strength and resilience of Ukraine’s tech ecosystem and reinforced UK-Ukraine collaboration in AI, cybersecurity, and deep tech.
